The Kenton County Veterans Memorial is a living monument. For it to be a fitting honor to the men and women whose names it bears we cannot allow it to fall into a condition that would convey less than the respect so greatly deserved. For this reason we ask for the help of our fellow citizens.
The Memorial is not a club, nor does it have a membership body. All work required for maintenance, landscaping, addition of names and more is performed by volunteers. Funds must come through donations, gifts or sponsorships. If you can help in any way, please see our list of needs below and contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Costs for maintaining the Memorial consist of such items as flower and bush replacement, mulch, flag replacement, spotlighting, and sadly, adding names to the monument. Sources for money to achieve this is extremely limited. Gifts and donations are greatly needed. Any amount is gratefully received and goes in its entirety to preserving the memorial. We will place your company logo, one address and one phone number in the right column. The ad will appear on each of the website pages. If you have a website, the ad will be clickable to access it. So, in addition to helping the KCVM, you'll gain another avenue to your store or service. Visitors to this website will also appreciate that you have supported the Memorial! 100% of the ad revenue goes directly to support the Memorial. If you do not have a logo, the ad will simply display your company name in bold along with one address and one phone number.
If you'd like to place an ad for your business or services, please call Committee Chairman Lou Hartfiel at 859-341-9144.
The Memorial has an extensive paver brick program. If you care to purchase a paver, they are still available by calling Lou Hartfiel at 859-341-9144 or stop by the city building to pick up a form. The cost of a paver brick is $45.00 with your desired inscription.
You can also download the form here.
Also, the KCVM would be grateful for "in memoriam" gifts for loved ones lost. These can be arranged by most any funeral director anywhere in the U.S. Such gifts are normally recognized in the official newspaper obituary.
Would you like to set up a fundraising activity to help the Memorial? Please contact Lou Hartfiel with your idea. Why not "dedicate" a yard or garage sale? Perhaps you could inspire your church group to participate in an event to commemorate our service men and women - past and present - with a dance or party? A 1940's "Big Band" night would be fun! Your ideas?
There are very few people providing time to help with maintaining the Memorial garden. If you can devote any amount of time for planting, weeding, trimming, litter removal, etc., please contact Lou Hartfiel (see above).
Paver Bricks are Still Available! Commemorate a loved one, a meaningful event or just show your support. Your $45 purchase covers the paver, your inscription and placement into the Memorial walkway. All proceeds go directly to the Kenton County Veterans Memorial Fund.

Talk About the KCVM
Come visit the Memorial to pay your respects - then tell others about it. Many people in the area do not even know about it - many who have relatives' names inscribed on the monument. They'll appreciate it. Plus, it's a perfect place to just sit and relax.
